Legalisation

Some additional requirements...

Some countries require notarised documents to be legalised either by an "Apostille" or by consular legalisation.

This is where the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) or a Foreign Embassy/Consulate/High Commission authenticate and certify the genuineness of the Notary's signature and seal.

Countries that have signed up to the Hague Convention require the FCO to attach an 'Apostille' to the document to confirm that the Notary's signature and seal is valid.

If you require, we can arrange for your documents to be sent to the FCO on your behalf to obtain an Apostille at an extra cost.
